Meet Will

Will doesn't sit still. From the summit of Kilimanjaro to solo ocean sailing, he's spent his life seeking out the edge of what's possible — and then pushing further. This summer he's taking on his biggest challenge yet: a solo bike journey through the Karakoram, the Pamir Highway, the Himalayas, and Southeast Asia.

This isn't just a bike trip. It's an independent research project, a content creation mission, and a test of will — quite literally.

More on Will

Will has never needed much convincing to take on something hard. At 16, he stood on the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro — Africa's highest peak at 5,895 meters — a milestone that set the tone for everything that followed.

On the water, Will has built a reputation that's equal parts craftsman and competitor. He hand-built a wooden boat that earned a feature in the Launchings section of the May 2024 issue of WoodenBoat Magazine — a rare distinction for any builder, let alone one still in high school. He then sailed it solo from Tenants Harbor to Matinicus Island, and onward to Stonington on Deer Isle, Maine — open-water passages that demanded real seamanship.

His racing résumé is just as impressive. Will took 1st Place at the Maryland C420 State Championship in 2023, claimed 1st Place at the MDISA Maryland High School Sailing State Championship in 2022, and qualified for the High School Keelboat Nationals in 2023. He now competes for the College of Charleston Varsity Sailing team.

Beyond the podium, Will is a licensed diver who runs his own boat bottom cleaning business — the kind of practical, self-directed hustle that defines how he operates.

And when he needed a new physical benchmark to chase, he completed the Augusta, Maine Half Ironman in July 2025.

The Asia bike trip is the next chapter — but knowing Will, it won't be the last.

5 Routes. One Summer.

Starting with a shakedown lap around Puerto Rico in June, Will heads to Central Asia in July — tackling the Karakoram Highway, the legendary Pamir Highway, the Annapurna Circuit, and finishing with a 3,500km push from Bangkok to Hong Kong.
